Your Guide to our Stainless Steel and Gold-Plated Jewellery

Crafted to Last, Designed to Shine

Every Jimmy Jewellery piece begins with thoughtful material selection.
From high-grade stainless steel to premium 18K gold plating, we source responsibly and craft with care -
ensuring beauty that endures, not fades.

Art of Gold Composition

From soft 24K glow to resilient 18K finishes, every shade of gold reflects our pursuit of tieless beauty and enduring strength.
Higher karat = higher gold purity but also softer metal. 18K gives the ideal balance of beauty and durability for daily wear.

Base Metal Matters

Jimmy uses stainless steel as the base for lasting shine and comfort. Unless stated.

Gold-Plated vs Gold-Filled

💎 Gold Plated
- Thin gold layer over base metal
- < 1% real gold
- Lasts 6–24 months (with care)

💎 Gold Filled
- Mechanically bonded thick gold layer
- ≈ 5% real gold
- Lasts many years (heavier & pricier)

What is Gold-Plated Jewellery?

Gold-plated jewellery is made by applying a thin layer of real gold over a base metal (in our case, premium stainless steel) via electroplating. This gives the appearance and feel of gold a more accessible price point, without the full content of solid gold.

Why it Matters

  • The thickness of the gold layer (in microns) determines durability and lifespan.
  • Solid gold is a pure alloy; gold-plated pieces have a base metal coated with gold.
  • Solid gold resists tarnish while gold-plated offers affordable luxury.

Our Craftsmanship

  • Crafted with 18K gold plating layered over a premium stainless steel base.
  • The steel core provides strength and resists corrosion and tarnish with proper care.
  • Finished with a rich gold luster for luxurious shine and everyday wear.
